As an individual who has been "disabled" as a result of having brain tumors, an Acoustic Neuroma and a Meningioma, over the past few years I have devoted my life, energy, time and resources to being an advocate for others.
When walking during this event, I will be using a specially created walker to share the good news of God's eternal hope & love as well as raise awareness & funding for Brain Cancer & Brain Tumor education, research & patient services. Donations made on this page are made directly to Miles For Hope, a 501c3 non-profit organization that funds brain tumor research.
During my walk I will talk with people about how a person can have a greater and eternal hope as a result of having a personal relationship with God. I will also talk about brain tumors as well share information about what it is like being and living as a disabled individual in America.
My walks and my message will be spiritual and positive and will be about educating and empowering people to "seize the day" of their life spiritually, emotionally and physically and to live life to the fullest regardless of their situation. One of my mottos is "Be Positive Do Something Positive!"

As with any event, participation is important, however, fundraising is a vital aspect of such an event. We do not require fundraising to participate, although it is highly encouraged. Every fundraising dollar brings us closer to a cure!
Brain tumors are currently the #1 cause of solid tumor cancer death in children under the age of 20.
